Entry Requirements: Police Clearance Certificate. Relevant life and work experience. Recognized as competent either by a training program or recognition process. School leavers, job seekers.

This qualification addresses work primarily in residential facilities under direct or regular supervision within clearly defined organisation guidelines and service plans. You may work in a Nursing Home, Hostel, Residential Care Facility, Dementia Care Facility, Rehabilitation Centre, a Retirement Village, Community Health Care Centres or Nursing Agencies.

Your role involves carrying out activities that help maintain an individual’s wellbeing through personal care and/ or other activities of daily living. You will be required to carry out activities related to an individualised plan of care for the client and report directly to a supervisor. You are not responsible for other workers.

The Certificate 3 Guarantee provides a government subsidy to allow eligible Queenslanders to obtain their first post-school certificate III qualification.

User Choice (apprenticeship and traineeship funding)

The User Choice program provides public funding for the delivery of accredited, entry level training to apprentices and trainees.
Higher Level Skills​

The Higher Level Skills program provides a government subsidy to help individuals gain the higher level skills and qualifications required to secure employment or career advancement in a priority industry.
